Tim Ballard practices general litigation, focusing on domestic relations and personal injury. His domestic relations practice includes not only divorce and child custody cases, but also cases involving grandparent visitation, termination of parental rights, Juvenile Court practice, and service as a Guardian ad Litem in the Circuit and Chancery Courts.
Timothy B. Ballard
Tim is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After graduating, he moved to South Carolina to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, Tim clerked for the Attorney General of South Carolina in the prosecution and post-conviction relief divisions. There he worked on a wide variety of criminal cases including racketeering, campaign finance violations, and murder trials.
Tim is a member of the Justices Ray L. Brock, Jr. - Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and serves on the board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee.
Tim is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.
